Cadet Cesar Rueda
Cesar Rueda was awarded a $3,500 Flight 30 Scholarship. In addition he will be submitted for a matching Daedalian National scholarship. He is a senior at the University of California Riverside, Riverside CA, and he is a business major with 3.05 GPA. Additionally, he is a student pilot; on the University of California Riverside’s Dean's List; and Mission Support Group Vice Commander, AFROTC Detachment 002, California State University, San Bernardino, CA. Cesar was awarded a Silver Valor Award for saving an intramural athlete's life. He recently survived being injured by an automobile while assisting at the scene of an accident. Cadet Rueda’s AF goal is to fly fighters.

Cadet Cory Villarreal
Cory Villarreal was awarded a $3,500 Flight 30 Scholarship. In addition he will be submitted for a matching Daedalian National scholarship to be shared with Cadet Rueda. Cory, a senior at California State University San Bernardino, CA is a sociology major with 3.75 GPA. He is on the Dean's List; President's List; Senior Airman in the AF Reserves; Number 1 graduate out of 528 cadets at Basic Military Training and an Honor Graduate; Airman of the Quarter squadron and group level; and Cadet Wing Commander at AFROTC Detachment 002, California State University, San Bernardino, CA. In addition, he is a Distinguished Graduate at Field Training 2018, achieving a perfect 100 on his physical fitness assessment. Cadet Villarreal is one of two cadets at Detachment 002 selected for a USAF pilot training slot.

Cadet Jesse Jordan
Jesse Jordan was awarded a $3,000 Flight 30 Scholarship. Jesse, a junior at Biola University, La Mirada, CA, is an applied physics major with a 3.91 GPA. He is on Biola University’s Dean's List; President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence; plus a 2017 Scholarship in Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering. He is a member of AFROTC Detachment 060, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA where he was a previous Flight Commander and is currently a Freshman Support Officer. Recently, Jesse had his first flight as part of a 4-ship flyby. His AF goal is to fly fighters.

Cadet Jiyoung Yang
Jiyoung Yang was awarded a $3,000 Flight 30 Scholarship. Cadet Yang, a sophomore at Pasadena City College, Pasadena, CA, is a political Science major with 3.64 GPA. He was awarded the American Legion Military Excellency Award and the Reserve Officer Association Cadet Award. In addition, Jiyoung is a member of the Arnold Air Society and Color Guard with Detachment 060, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. He is working full-time while attending college. Cadet Yang is interested in an USAF flying career and leadership with international emphasis.

Cadet Nicholas Cortz
Nicholas Cortz was awarded a $3,000 Flight 30 Scholarship. He is a junior at California Baptist University, Riverside, CA. He is an English major with 3.98 GPA. Nicholas is on Cal Baptist’s President's and Provost's lists for Academic Achievement plus the American Legion Recognition for Academic Achievement. He is pursuing leadership opportunities with AFROTC Detachment 002, California State University, San Bernardino, CA. Cadet Cortz is interested in flying remotely piloted aircraft.
