C'mon out to Bass Lake!
July’s meeting on 16 July will be a pig roast at Bass Lake, which is located across the runway off of loop road on Wright Patterson. This will be a delightful evening to share with your spouse, family and friends. If we get enough attendance the club will roast the entire pig for the event. This is a casual event – no coat and tie needed. Dinner will be followed by a presentation from Kenneth E. Sloat, AFLCMC Historian, on historical events related to WPAFB. Menu: The menu will consist of Whole Roasted Pig with Kansas City, Memphis and Carolina BBQ Sauces; BBQ Beef Brisket; Fruit Salad; Potato Salad; Butter and Honey Topped Biscuits; Southern Style Baked Beans; Cherry and Apple Cobbler; and wine for toasting. Reservations: Please call our Provost Marshall, Mel Gillespie at 937-426-4010 by noon on July 12th 2019, as we need to give the caterer a number by then. If you prefer e-mail, Mel will take e-mail reservations at: mel.gillespie@att.net. If you make your reservation via e-mail, Mel will send you a confirmation. If you do not get a confirmation, call Mel to make sure your e-mail was received. Please include any guests in your reservation. Cancellations must also be made by COB July12th, to avoid being billed for the price of the meal.
