Come Learn More About Neil Armstrong's Life!
Speaker: Mr. Greg Brown
Dinner meeting followed by a presentation on the Life of Neil Armstrong, the first human being to step foot on the Moon. This presentation offers a brief description of Armstrong’s youth, his Navy service, experimental test pilot career and achievements as an astronaut. His life post-Apollo will also be examined, hopefully resulting in a more three-dimensional impression of the man. Our speaker will be Greg Brown, Experience Coordinator at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, OH. This presentation may also be of interest to the spouses/significant others, and they are certainly invited. And we encourage flight members to invite a prospective member to join us and have a free meal. Menu: The requested menu should consist of tossed salad, beef stroganoff, grilled bourbon salmon, rice pilaf, green beans and a variety of pies. We will notify you if anything changes Reservations: Call or email our Provost Marshall, Mel Gillespie at 937-396-9238 or firstname.lastname@example.org prior to noon 17 Jan 2020. He will confirm receipt of your reservation with an email. You may also use the Apollo website (https://apollo.daedalians.org/flights/52/events/upcoming) to sign up. If you use Apollo make sure you have included your spouse or guest, as appropriate. Cancellations must be made by 17 January, to avoid being billed for the price of the meal.
