Address: 701 Kansas Ln, Monroe, LA 71203
Fellow Daedalians, It is my honor to invite you to the annual Chennault Museum visit on Saturday 18 November. Our Daedalian 51st Flight namesake, General Claire Lee Chennault, grew up near Monroe in rural Gilbert, Louisiana. Please join us to learn and embrace our Air Force heritage on this unique event. We plan for a guided tour of the museum beginning at 1100L. The museum is located at 701 Kansas Ln, Monroe, LA 71203. If you are not convinced to visit the museum with us, please view their website at The museum is so impressive, that they do not charge an admission. However, donations are much appreciated. We have two options for your travel. If you would like to carpool, we will be meeting at the south side of the Barksdale Club at 0900L to depart for the museum. Alternatively, you can meet us at the museum at 1100L. For those that RSVP, we plan to have a catered BBQ lunch at the museum for $10 per person. Please RSVP (or have your staff do so) to Major Kyle Reichert ( by COB Wednesday 15 November. If you do not RSVP for the meal, you are still welcome to attend the museum visit. In an attempt to support greater understanding of our impressive Air Force heritage throughout out active duty military, I have opened up the museum tour invitation to the greater Barksdale community. There should be an announcement posted on the roll call announcement system this next week inviting any interested Barksdale AFB personnel. I hope we can act as mentors to our fellow airmen, as we are all part of the same team and share the same honorable legacy. This is an event not to be missed! V/V, KYLE J. The Chennault Air Museum graciously hosted members of the Order of Daedalians Chennault Flight for a visit on 18 Nov 2017. Visitors of the museum enjoyed a guided tour of the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum located at 701 Kansas Lane in Monroe, Louisiana (at the entrance to Monroe Regional Airport). The visit was rich in aviation history, and passionately advocated by Nell Calloway (the grand-daughter of Gen Clair Chennault).
