Join the RAF in remembering the Battle of Britain
We will be remembering the Battle of Britain, August-September 1940, with the Royal Air Force members on faculty at Air University. Military historian Dr Rich Muller from the SAASS faculty will recount the battle for us in a presentation packed with historical photos. And there will be a piano-burning like last year! This is likely our biggest, best-attended event of the year, so please come be a part of it!

We had a really good turnout for this year's Battle of Britain Remembrance and an all-around great event. RAF Group Captain Paul Taylor made introductory remarks and officers from New Zealand, Poland, and Australia recounted their nations' involvement in the battle. Dr Rich Muller, SAASS professor and military historian, gave an excellent lecture full of historical photos and analysis of the British and German senior leaders. We had the Fairchild Trophy on display and announced the 2016 winner, AFIT professor Maj Christina Rusnock (who was unable to attend). There were about 15-20 flight members present. And the remembrance culminated with the RAF's traditional piano burning!
